Updates

December 28th, 2020:

In response to COVID-19 and the rising cases, CCYAA will be postponing the registration period for our upcoming season. For more information and program information, please email tiffany@ccyaa.org.

So much is unknown right now, but one thing we do know that can help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and protect ourselves and our community is to take steps to limit our exposure to others. Follow us on social media (IG: ccyaa_/FB: CCYAA) for future updates.

September 2nd, 2020:

CCYAA is in the process of planning our return-to-play approach that prioritizes the health and safety of our participants along with meeting compliance for the Provincial Health Ministry and Boards of Education.

We have seen many organizations begin different approaches to relaunch basketball programs, but we have decided to absorb best-practice and work to gain a better understanding of how the respective Boards of Educations implement procedures for back-to-school.

As a result, we will be contacting the parents of all our Programs to provide further details on the Programs themselves along with registration windows, etc.

Thanks again for your ongoing support and stay tuned for more updates!

June 16th, 2020:

CCYAA is following the advice of public health agencies and will continue to monitor their constant updates. As the city is preparing to reopen businesses and childcare centres, CCYAA will be monitoring the changes and procedures that will be taking place to ensure the health and safety of our staff, volunteers and participants. With this being said, registration for our 2020-2021 season will be postponed until July 2020.

April 29th, 2020:

The CCYAA is responding to COVID-19 across all of our programs as the health and safety of our staff, volunteers and participants is our priority. CCYAA is following the advice of public health agencies and will continue to monitor their updates.

Our programs in Toronto, Thornhill, Markham and Richmond Hill will be cancelled for the remainder of the season. We will be contacting the parents of all our participants to explain next-steps.

With the uncertainty that looms with this issue, we do understand the importance to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 by exercising social-distancing.

We are proactive to help our community through a number of initiatives which include:

We want to thank all those working in the healthcare field and those of you in the essential businesses and your families for all your sacrifices and effort.
